파르로는 커뮤니케이션 로봇으로 사람과 로봇이 함께 사는 그런 삶을 상상하며 만들었다.

PARO is an advanced interactive robot, developed by AIST, a leading Japanese industrial automation pioneer. It affords the administration of animal therapy's  documented benefits for administration to patients and healthy elderly in settings such as hospitals, extended care facilities, but also independent housing arrangements where the engagement of live animals presents impediments to treatment, regulations, or logistics.
